What is DirectConnect?
DirectConnect (DC) bridges our hosting platform and your registration system automatically pulling updates from your event registration twice a day. Employers register in your system, and we get the updates without you lifting a finger! More good news: DirectConnect integrates with nine of the most common registration systems.
How does it work?
After you enable DirectConnect (don’t worry, we’ll show you how), CF+ automatically checks your registration data every morning and afternoon. When the software detects changes, we add the new employer data or any other updates into your event. If you need updates completed before noon or 5:00pm EST, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can help.
I'm ready. How do I start?
Terrific! DirectConnect makes updating event registration information super easy.
Start by logging in to MyCFP
Find your event in the list of “Upcoming Fairs”
Click the “EDIT FAIR INFO” button in the upper right corner to open the “Fair Information” page
Scroll down to the words “Fair Registration System” (under “Configuration Options”)
From the "Fair Registration System" drop-down list, choose your system, then click the box for "Enable automated imports from this service (Direct Connect)”.
Click "Save Changes".
Next, click the box next to "Turn On DirectConnect for this Fair"
The next few steps vary depending on your registration system. This list links to specific instructions for each registration system that works with DirectConnect. You can also access these directions from the Fair Information page after turning on DirectConnect.
Okay, you're almost finished...
After you follow the specific directions, click "Test DirectConnect"
If the test passes - hooray, DirectConnect is set!
VERY IMPORTANT: Click “Save” in the lower right corner of your screen
If the test fails, go through the steps one more time, including clicking “Save” at the very end.
If it still doesn’t work, click “Save” in the lower right corner of the screen, then email email@example.com for help.
