If your fair is just around the corner and you want to make sure you haven't missed any important steps, follow this checklist for success!
✅ Booking Window
By default, the booking window is set to close 1 hour prior to the start of the event. You can extend this window through your fair to increase the number of meetings booked. For more information on the booking window, check out this link.
✅ Do All Active Employers Have Schedules Set Up?
With Career Fair Plus's dashboard, you have the ability to filter active employers who do and do not have schedules set up. This capability allows you to email employers reminding them of the need to set up schedules. For more information, check out this link.
✅ Do Inactive Employers Have Schedules?
If an employer isn't active in your system but has a schedule, you will want to delete any of their active schedules. This ensures that candidates that have booked meetings with those employers will be aware of a cancellation. Please check out this link for more information.
✅ Do all schedules using External Link for interaction have a candidate link?
If a schedule has been set up with an External Link for interaction, it is best practice to ensure that the candidate link has been added in full in the Additional Instructions field. Please click here for more information.
✅ Have Recruiters Checked Their Video Meeting Links?
It is highly recommended that all recruiters test their video meeting links a few days prior to the fair (help). For recruiters that may need troubleshooting assistance, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
✅ Need a Helpdesk?
Career Fair Plus recommends per our best practices that each fair has a help desk. There are multiple ways to go about creating a help desk. For more information on this, please visit this link.
✅ Reminder Emails & Notifications
As a best practice, we highly recommend sending a reminder email and notification to both your employers and candidates before the event to remind them of the date and time. Please view the links for more information on push notifications and announcements.
✅ Meet & Greet on Day of Fair for Employers
To maintain engagement with your employers, consider hosting a Meet & Greet with employers before the fair kicks off. This gives them a chance to meet and network with other recruiters, but also provides you an opportunity to welcome them to your event, and for them to ask you any last-minute questions.
✅ Get ready to assist recruiters and students
You may need to take some on-the-day actions for recruiters and/or students. For example, for recruiters, only you as the fair organiser can cancel appointments or delete schedules. In another case, a student may get in touch and enquire about an employer and their schedules. Get comfortable navigating the dashboard to expedite any queries.
